Our
inpatient subacute rehabilitation program is comprehensive
and designed for those clients whose illness or injury
no longer requires the acute care services of the hospital,
yet is too complex for treatment at home. We offer state
of the art technology in rehabilitation and complex clinical
care in a supportive environment.
Our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team includes oversight
by a medical doctor as well as a physiatrist (a physician
who specializes in physical medicine and
rehabilitation)
and specially trained nurses and aides, in addition to
physical, occupational and speech therapists.
Our social
worker, recreation professionals and registered dietitian
are also part of the team who work closely with the client
and family. We incorporate the most advanced techniques
into individualized care plans that result in superior
outcomes, and earlier, safer discharges to home and maximum
independence. And, our social service and rehabilitation
staff will assist in identifying post-discharge needs
and make appropriate referrals for home care and equipment.
