Dear Mr. and Mrs. Friedman,

Let me introduce myself. I am a second grade teacher in Teaneck. I’ve been there for 26 years. Thirteen years ago I broke my neck; in the years to follow I’ve had a cervical laminectomy, hip replacement, shoulder and knee surgery and now complete knee replacement. Needless to say, I’m familiar with several rehab centers. Thank you for having such an outstanding health and rehab center! It is one thing to hear about a facility- it is another to actually live and experience a health center! You can be so proud to own such a wonderful place.

Your staff, each in their own right, is a star! From the day my husband heard where I was going to be placed he naturally planned to visit. He was pleasantly greeted by the receptionist and shown around capably by Elaine H. After the visit he felt reassured his wife would be in good hands.

Your PT/OT department headed by Lisa V. and ably assisted by Ron, Phyllis, and Kathlyn is motivating, caring and patient with each and every person regardless of age or infirmity. I feel confident returning home because of this program.

Anne Marie G. warmly welcomed me and checked with me several times during my stay. Even with her hectic, busy schedule, she had time to be visible daily to all! Jeff B. Social Service, gave us assurance I would be prepared to return to my home. Dr. Kim made me fell as if I had been a patient for years. Your exemplary nursing staff should be commended. Day and night they address a myriad of problems always thinking of the individual and their need for comfort. There is no request or question that goes unattended or unanswered. Thank you Moira, Jane, Marion, Kathy, Pari and Michelle!

The dining room is exemplary! Good nutrition for all is no chore here! The friendly staff headed by Tess and Linda made eating together a joyous social event. Everyone’s needs seemed to be met. I was so impressed with the care taken at mealtimes for all the patients and the number of staff members available to assist people. One of the best qualities of life here at the center is the recreation program capably led by Diane and Priscilla and helpers. I was amazed at the variety of daily activities keeping the people involved in everything from music, news, exercises or crafts!

The smiles and love felt here truly represent family for one and all! The insight I gained during my brief stay convinced me that there are “good places” for the elderly and infirmed- the name is Dellridge Health and Rehabilitation Center! I would highly recommend it to everyone!

In Appreciation,
Beverly A. W.

Dear Members of the Dellridge Health and Rehabilitation Center:

I am very happy to write a strong recommedation letter to this wonderful group. I never heard of this place until I realized how lucky I was to be in Dellridge. The nurses, the aides, and the leaders of several activities were so able and talented that I express my strong appreciation. Warm personalities helped me to perform my daily chores.

The leadership was marvelous. One of the greatest positives has been their ability to talk to me as a friend, and encourage me in my periodic periods of depression. Specifically Kathleen; in the physical therapy group, has allowed me to leave at a great level of walking. My warmest feelings to the strong leadership of all the members at Dellridge!

To Anne-Marie and all of your staff at Dellridge,

Just a little note to let you know how great everyone was with the care of my husband George Z. He enjoyed his stay at Dellridge so much I don’t think he wanted to come home. He had more people at Dellridge coming in and out of his room to say hello, he misses the company of everyone who stopped to say hello and how was he doing.

The Physical Therapy group was just great with him. George can be very difficult at times, but the P.T. staff handled it well. I can not point out individual people because there was just too many, Joy D. is his Angel from Heaven and one of the most patient and understanding people I have ever met in all my years in the business world, and there were a lot.

One of the best things Dellridge offered to us was to allow George’s constant companion Karl to visit. At home Karl would just lie around looking for George to come home, but the minute I pulled into the parking lot of Dellridge he came to life. Karl loved visiting Dellridge and all the attention the residents gave him. He thanks you for your visiting dog policy, and so do George and I.

Thank You,
Marie Z.

Dearest Dellridge Staff,

How do you find the words to thank the people who not only cared for your Mother but cared about her for the last years of her life? I’ve been trying to find the right thoughts to convey to all of you but it’s an impossible task.

Thanks to all of you after a short time in your fine care she referred to Dellridge as her home. You are all indeed a credit to your profession and must be very proud of what you do.

I’ll never forget any of you and I don’t use names for fear of forgetting someone. I can tell you this, every time I return to New Jersey to visit my family I’ll stop by Dellridge with a bag full of crumbcake.

With Most Sincere Thanks,
W.J. “Bill” M.

Dear Anne-Marie,

I wanted to drop a quick line to tell you that you have an absolute angel working at Dellridge as one of your patient aides: Wendy B.

The entire staff at Dellridge is wonderful… I have seen such compassion and goodness all around; and I think Wendy is one of the most caring, compassionate people I have encountered over the last three years. I know that when she is assigned, my mom is in very good hands.

Most Sincerely,
Rosemary B.

Dear Friends,

Enclosed is payment for my Mom’s (Doris D.) final bill for care at Dellridge. Mom was moved to Bergen Regional in early January as she needed help with finding medication for extreme agitation resulting from a stroke. She was coming along but unfortunately developed pneumonia last week and died on February 3rd.

I do want to thank the staff at Dellridge for very attentive care in the few weeks Mom was with you.. I know that all of those caring for her were very understanding of the difficulties she was going through with her severe agitation. I am very grateful for the kind attention and care that was given to her under very trying conditions. Her time with you was fairly brief so I didn’t get to know everyone by name but I did get to know Bernie who was her daytime nurse and Bernie showed such compassion for Mom and she kept me informed and up to date on everything that was happening. It was greatly appreciated.

I will always be happy to recommend Dellridge to anyone looking for a home for a friend or relative in need. Thank you all.

Sincerely,
Joanne B.

Letters to the Editor of Town News

Dear Sir or Madame:

I am writing to you to extend my congratulations to Dellridge Health and Rehabilitation Center for achieving the prestigious award of Deficiency Free Status. I am a granddaughter of a former patient at Dellridge. My grandmother was diagnosed with cancer while a patient there, although there were no options of treatment for her, I would like to comment on the care and sincere thoughts of all who work at the center. The entire personnel worked over and above what I would consider excellent care. Everyone who had contact with my grandmother from the nurses, to administrators, the custodial staff, the rehab personnel, and the aides just to name a few treated my grandmother not only with respect and kindness but as if she was someone in their own family. She was always treated with the highest respect and was never talked to in a disrespectful manner, or treated as if she was a bother. Being by her side for days at a time my entire family was treated like one of their own. The staff made us feel welcome at all hours of the day and night and never felt we were in their way. Dellridge Heath and Rehabilitation Center is an outstanding facility within our community that does not get enough attention or accolades. The entire staff works nonstop to help not only the patients who live there but also the visiting families. I strongly encourage anyone who needs their services for a loved one to see all they have to offer. Having the hard decision to have to put a family member in a center like Dellridge is hard enough but the staff there makes it a pleasant and welcoming feeling. Thank you Dellridge for treating my grandmother with the highest respect but also welcoming my family into yours. I will be forever grateful for all your hard work and dedication.

Sincerely
Shannon D.B.
